5th Match of men Section Punjab National Bank Delhi and Indian Railways locked at 1-1 draw.

Punjab Police beat Indian Air Force by 3-1 Indian Railways and Punjab National Bank draw 1-1 Western Railways derailed CRPF by 5-0 Jalandhar October 24, 2017 Star Studded Punjab Police faced tough fight from Indian Air Force in the first league fixture of 34th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament here at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here today. Punjab Police beat Indian Air Force by 3-1. In second match Holders Punjab National Bank and National Champion Indian Railways locked at 1-1 draw. In women section Holders Western Railways thrashed CRPF by 5-0. Manpreet Singh Captain of Indian Hockey team, which won Asia Cup at Dhaka, seen in action along with Ramandeep Singh and Akashdeep Singh for Punjab Police team. Punjab Police took lead in the 9th minute when International Sarvanjit Singh netted the ball from the pass of Olympian Ramandeep Singh (1-0). In the 11th minute of the play Indian Air Force equalized when Sanjay scored the field goal (1-1). In the 29th minute of the play Oly. Ramandeep Singh scored from the pass of Oly. Dharamvir Singh (2-1). At half time Punjab Police was leading by 2-1. After lemon break in 65th minute of the play Punjab Police completed the score sheet with field goal of Dharamvir Singh from pass of Ramandeep Singh (3-1). Second match in Men section played between Holders Punjab National Bank and National Champion Indian Railways.In the second minute of the play Bank’s Sukhjit Singh scored the field goal (1-0). In the 25th minute of the play Indian Railways’s equalizer comes from the stick of Sheshe Gowda from penalty Corner conversion (1-1). At half time both teams were at 1-1. After lemon break both teams not able to score any goal. With this draw both teams earned One point each. In women section Western Railways Mumbai proved their skills by beating CRPF Delhi by 5-0 in Pool A. Western Railways’s captain Pinky T scored two goals in 17th and in 43rd minute thorugh penalty corner conversion. Where as Sarita scored in 35th minute, Anupa Barla in 40th minute, Chanchan Thokchom in the 47th minute of the play (5-0).
