20th Match (men section) Indian Oil reserve berth in semis after beating Army XI by 4-1



34th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament Western Railways will clash Rail Coach Factory Kapurtahala in the finals of women section ONGC Delhi entered Semi Finals by beating Indian Railways by 3-1 Indian Oil reserve berth in semis after beating Army XI by 4-1 Jalandhar October 28, 2017 Western Railways Mumbai will clash swords with Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala in the finals of women section of 34th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here on Sunday evening. Today in last league match Western Railways beat Punjab XI by 6-1 to reserve berth in finals with 9 points from three outings. In men section ONGC Delhi beat National Champion Indian Railways by 3-1 to reserve seat in semi finals.ONGC won both league matches and earned six points. In other league match in men section Indian Oil entered the semi finals by beating Army XI by 4-1.Indian Oil bagged six points from two outings. In last league match Western Railways dominated the proceeding in the second half of the match. In the 8th Minute of the play Western railways Sarita scored the field goal (1-0). In the 24th minute of play Punjab Rajwinder Kaur scored equalizer after dodging goalkeeper of Western railways (1-1). In 33rd minute Western railways took lead when Lily Mayengbem scored field goal from left flank (2-1). At half time western railways was leading by 2-1. After half time in 47th minute Lily Mayengbem scored another goal for railways team (3-1). In 52nd and 58th minute International Anupa Barla scored two goals (5-1). In 26th minute ONGC’s International star Mandeep Singh scored field goal from solo effort (2-0). At half time ONGC was leading by 2-0. After changing ends in 51st minute Railways Amit Rohidas convert the penalty corner to reduce the margin (1-2). Two minutes later ONGC’s Suman Kujur scored the field goal (3-1) to complete the score sheet. In today’s last league match in Pool C Indian Oil took early lead in the 3rd and 12th minute of the play when Olympian Raghunath converted two penalty corners (2-0). In 16th minute Army reduced the margin, their Siraju scored the goal (1-2). At half time Indian Oil was leading by 2-1. After break in the 56th minute Indian Oil’s Vikas Sharma scored the field goal (3-1).
