35th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament Border Security Force Jalandhar Entered League stage after beating RCF Kapurthala by 4-2 Indian Railways derailed CRPF Delhi by 9-1 Jalandhar October 24th 2018 Border Secuirty Force Jalandhar entered the league stage of 35th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament after beating Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala in knockout stage by 4-2 here at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium this evening. In second match Indian Railways beat CRPF Delhi by 9-1 in Pool B of league stage. With this win Indian Railways bagged three points where as CRPF was now out of tournament as this is their second consective defeat in league. Earlier they lost of Punjab & Sind Bank Delhi. In the knockout stage match Border Security Force Jalandhar dominated the proceeding from the ward go. BSF took lead in 6th minute when their Gurjit singh sounded the board (1-0). In the 27th Minute BSF consolidated with field goal of Jaswant Singh (2-0). At half time BSF was leading by 2-0. After changing ends Rail Coach Factory’s Sandeep Singh reduced the margin with firld goal (1-2). In 55th minute of play BSF’s Darshpreet Singh scored (3-1). In 59th minute BSF’s Hatinder Singh scored field goal (4-1). In the 67th minute of play Parampreet Singh reduced once again (2-4). With this win BSF entered the leage stage of tournament, now they are in Pool C and they will take on ONGC Delhi in league stage on 25th October. In Pool B league stage Indian Railways displayed good hockey against CRPF Delhi. In the early minutes of the match Indian railways took lead of 3-0. In 2nd minute Rajin Kandulna, In 15th minute KanwarDilraj Singh, In 17th minute Ajmer Singh scored for Railways (3-0). In the 24th minute CRPF’s Jayant Tirkey reduced the margin (1-3) At half time Railways was leading by 3-1. In second half Railmen gave not any chance to CRPF. They scored five goals in this half.
