35th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament Air India grounded BSF Jalandhar by 4-0 Army XI beat Indian Oil Mumbai by 2-1 Jalandhar October 27th 2018 With the help of three goals of Abharan Sudev Air India able to beat Border Security Force Jalandhar by 4-0 in the 35th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here this evening. With this win Air India bagged three points from first outings where as due to second defeat in league BSF Jalandhar out from the tournament. In the second match Army XI done the major upset of the tournament as they beat Indian Oil Mumbai with 2-1. Air India boys dominated the proceedings, there striker Abharan Sudev displayed good hockey. Air India took lead in 9th minute when Abharan Sudev sounded board (1-0). In 18th minute Air India’s Shivender Singh netted the ball to consolidate (2-0). At half time Air India was leading by 2-0. In second half Abharan Sudev struck twice to complete the tally in 42nd and 62nd minute of the play. Air India will play their second match against ONGC Delhi, who earlier beat BSF jalandhar. In the second match Indian Oil Mumbai and Army XI displayed good game. In the first Half both teams were goalless. In the 44th minute of the second half International Player of Indian Oil Talwinder Singh netted the ball with reverse flick (1-0). In the 55th minute of the play Army’s Chandan Aind converted the penalty corner to equalize (1-1). In the 64th minute Army took lead when their Chandan Aind converted the penalty stroke (2-1).
